1. How much does a wedding in Portugal cost? Costs can vary significantly depending on the size, style, and location of your wedding. We work with couples with a range of different budgets and requirements. You can expect to spend between €30,000 - € Sky is the limit, on a one day affair. Factors which will affect your budget include the guest count, number of days of events and how lavish you want to be! At Take A Vow, we'll work with you whatever your budget to provide expert advice on how to allocate your $ and help you craft a day that reflects your vision.
2. How far in advance should I start planning? We recommend beginning your planning 12 to 18 months before your wedding date. This ensures availability for your preferred venues and vendors. Some of Portugal's top venues are booked years in advance during the popular summer months! Shorter time frames are also doable but require you to be more flexible in order to make it work!
3. Can you accommodate cultural or religious traditions? Yes, we pride ourselves on creating bespoke weddings that celebrate your unique history and traditions. From multilingual officiants to authentic catering or traditional décor, we’ll work closely with you to honor every detail.
4. How soon can we start? Planning will start as soon as we have a signed service agreement and the deposit is paid. Once those are processed, couples will receive a welcome packet of information as well as a series of questionnaires. Our kick-off call is scheduled shortly afterwards.
5. How do we manage communication and planning from abroad? As soon as you sign up to our planning services, we pre-schedule five planning calls to mark key milestones in your wedding planning journey. Each call is designed with a specific agenda to guide you seamlessly through the process. Additionally, we send monthly email round-ups detailing progress made and decisions pending, ensuring you’re always informed and supported.
6. What about insurance? At Take a Vow Portugal, we prioritize your peace of mind. We hold both public liability and professional indemnity insurance, ensuring that you’re protected and that every aspect of your wedding is handled with utmost professionalism.
7. Can you help arrange activities for our guests? Certainly! We always provide a suggested itinerary for your guests, enabling them to enjoy their wedding vacation alongside family and friends. From wine tastings and cultural tours to relaxing beach days, we’ll ensure their stay is as memorable as your big day.
8. What happens if there’s adverse weather on the wedding day? We always create both a Plan A and a Plan B for your wedding day, carefully pre-approved with you in advance. This approach allows us to pivot seamlessly if needed, ensuring your celebration is flawless regardless of the weather.
