The Wedding Details
Food & Drink
The culinary experience commenced with a distinctly Portuguese flourish: guests were welcomed at the ceremony with a traditional shot of ginja, a cherry liqueur beloved in local culture, setting a tone of conviviality and celebration. The evening’s menu paid homage to regional flavours with a harmonious blend of seasonal produce and Mediterranean cooking influences.
Throughout the celebration, there was an open bad and as the evening unfolded, a midnight snack of ‘pregos’—Portugal’s iconic steak sandwiches—was served, offering both comfort and a nod to local tradition.
Florals & Decor
The aesthetic vision for the day was a harmonious blend of sophistication and coastal informality. A palette of blue, white, and vibrant orange guided the floral and decorative choices, with blue hydrangeas taking centre stage. These were complemented by accents of white and flashes of orange, creating a visual dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
Table settings were thoughtfully curated: linen-blend cloths in a bluish-grey tone echoed the ever-changing shades of the Atlantic, while blue tapered candles provided both height and a sense of occasion. The overall effect was one of understated elegance, softened by a casual beachside sensibility. The panoramic vista of the Atlantic coast served as a living backdrop, its drama and beauty a constant presence throughout the celebration.

The bride made her entrance in timeless style, arriving at the venue in a classic car, a detail that not only evoked a sense of vintage elegance but also provided a memorable start to the day’s celebrations.
As the couple prepared to cut the cake, the moment was elevated by a dramatic display of indoor fireworks.
Two signature cocktails were selected for the bar: a vibrant Aperol Spritz, offering a refreshing nod to hot summers, and a classic Old Fashioned, a subtle tribute to the groom’s family heritage in the whisky business.
